| A | There are many causes of dry eye. Some of them include mormonal changes associated with aging, autoimmune disease such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and Sjogren's syndrome. As well as medical conditions such as diatetes, thyroid abnormalities and asthma. Of course invironmental, occupational and lifestyle factors that can make dry eye disease worse. |

| A | The most common symptoms include dreness, itching, blurred vision, sensitivity to light, and grittly feeling in the eyes. If left untreated, dry eye disease can damage the surface of the eye, which may lead to impaired vision and an increased risk of infection. |
